Biography
Viktor Nikolaevich Bychkov was born on 4 September 1954 in Leningrad. In 1982 he graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography, from the workshop of People's Artist of Russia I. P. Vladimirov.
Theatre
He worked at the Saint Petersburg State Academic Lensoviet Theatre: from 1979 to 1990 he appeared in the productions "To Laugh, Truly, Is No Sin", "Lefty", "The Snow Queen", "Karlsson-on-the-Roof", "The Gamblers", "Dulcinea of Toboso", "The Taming of the Shrew", "A Grand Piano on the Open Sea" and others.
In 1991–1992 he performed at the Akimov Comedy Theatre. In 1995 he appeared at the Priyut Komedianta theatre (the production "An Old Clown Wanted"). In 2004 he took part in a touring production with the Petersburg Music Hall — the play "Lefty" — and in 2005 he returned to the stage of the Lensoviet Theatre in the production of "Hedda Gabler", after the play by Henrik Ibsen.
Cinema
Nationwide fame came to the actor with the role of the gamekeeper "Кузьмич" in Aleksandr Rogozhkin's comedy "Peculiarities of the National Hunt" and its sequels. Among his most important works is the drama "The Cuckoo", which won numerous awards. The actor has more than eighty film roles to his name.
Since 1985 he has been a member of the Union of Theatre Workers of Russia, and since 1994 a member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.
